Measuring the area
Coverage gets sized to the actual area of loss — a bang piece, a partial, or a full crown. Too big is as obvious as too small.
Matching the colour

Cutting it in
Straight out of the box a topper looks like a topper — the ends are too uniform. It gets cut, texturised and blended into your own hair before you leave.

She shows you how to clip it, where to sit it, and how to part around it, until you can do it yourself in a couple of minutes at home.

The consultation takes about half an hour. The fitting, colour and cut-in is a longer appointment — usually two to three hours.

Aftercare
Making it last.
- Take it off at night. Sleeping in it wears the base out fast.
- Wash it separately, gently, and let it air dry on a stand.
- Move the clip positions around so the same hairs are not always under tension.
- Bring it back when your own colour shifts so the match stays right.
- Keep heat low on the piece — it does not recover the way growing hair does.
